- In plain English
- Carolina Hurricanes resolves Yes if it is determined to be the NHL champion (Stanley Cup winner) for the 2026-27 season. It resolves No otherwise, including as soon as Carolina Hurricanes can no longer be champion under NHL rules (for example, if it is eliminated). If the event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or no champion is declared by then, the market resolves to 'Other'. If several teams were declared winners, the team whose name comes first alphabetically wins. The NHL's official information decides, and a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
- Watch out
- If no champion is declared, or the event is postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, every team's market resolves to 'Other', not No. A team that is eliminated resolves No immediately.
- Resolution criteria
- This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
